Here's another public work of art you'll find near Kapi'olani Park. It's a 12-foot cast bronze sculpture by Robert Pashby called "Surfer on a Wave." I like how the patina on the waves give this piece dimension and movement, and you really feel the surfing vibes from it since it's located steps away from the beach.
Now head east past the Waikiki Aquarium towards the Gold Coast and you'll spot a popular landmark, the Louise Dillingham Memorial Fountain, or Dillingham Fountain for short. FYI, most times the fountain is on and it looks fantastic with Diamond Head as a backdrop (it sort of reminds me of the Married With Children fountain LOL), but sometimes you'll catch the city workers in or around maintaining it, on occasion the water is shut off and it's completely drained, and at least twice now at different instances I've seen it completely filled with suds, after some ninnies dumped detergent in it.
