Banana OREO Gelato
Yup. You guessed it right. I had a bunch of ripened bananas and did not want to make another loaf of chocolate chip mochi banana bread. I've baked three loaves in the last three weeks!
The next dessert on my go-to list for spotty bananas is banana gelato, a recipe I shared with you on January 25, 2017. I normally pair it with a warm peanut butter sauce to drizzle on top, but this time I felt like mixing the banana gelato with something chocolatey instead.
The simplest idea I came up with was to mix in chopped OREO's after churning and then add layers of fudge ripple within the gelato.
I don't need to tell you how friggin good the banana, OREO, and chocolate combo tasted. It rivals the warm peanut butter sauce, that's for sure. Hold up! Wait a minute. I should pour the warm peanut butter sauce over the banana OREO gelato! I'm definitely gonna do that next time.
